Scatola rosa  con Torre Eiffel 

Una stupenda scatola in porcellana rosa marchiata, proveniente dalla Francia tra la fine del l’ 800 ed i primi del 900. Nel coperchio è dipinta una Torre Eiffel su un paesaggio in stile naif, mentre nella scatola vi è dipinta a mano una scena di due uccellini su un ramo di fiori.

La scatola, probabilmente, faceva parte di quelle bomboniere che – nei matrimoni eleganti – gli sposi donavano; e la Torre Eiffel indicherebbe appunto un matrimonio di Parigi.

Non ho identificato il marchio.

A pink box with Tour Eiffel.

A magnificent box in marked pink porcelain, comin from France between the end of XIX century and the beginning of XX. On the top is painted a Tour Eiffel standing on a naïf landscape; on the box, in the porcelain, is painted a scene of two birds on a tree with flowers.

The box was used, in elegant marriages, as a bonbonniere that newlayweds presented to their guestes. Tour Eiffel signify a marriage celebratede in Paris.
