Gatto egiziano in marmo nero.

Un gran bel gatto seduto in posizione ieratica scolpito in Egitto in marmo nero .negli anni 60. Ovviamente risente, nello stile, nella forma dedli occhi e nella posizione, dell’ antica iconografia egiziana, che considerava i gatti come animali sacri.-

Nella base sono scolpite iscrizioni egizie, e probabilmente la firma dello scultore. 

E’ alto cm. 12,50 ed ha un base di cm. 7,00 x 3,50

An Egyptian cat sculptured in black marble.

A delicious, lovely cat, seating in his hieratic position, with his eyes, realized in the Sixties by an Egyptian sculptor. It follows- obvious the old Egyptian iconography considering cats as sacred animals. In the base you can find some Egyptian inscriptions and –maybe- the authors’ signature.

It’s tall cm. 12,50 and it has a base of cm. 7,00 x 3,50. Perfect condition..
